About these terms

These terms apply between you and House of Noona, a photography and design business based in Krabi, Thailand, operating the website houseofnoona.com. They cover photography sessions you book with us and anything you buy through this website. By booking a session you accept them.

What we sell

• Photography sessions in and around Krabi, Thailand: portrait, family and sunset beach sessions, in the packages published on our booking page. A session is a service: you are buying our time on the agreed date and a set number of hand-edited photographs, not an unlimited quantity of images.
• Design and print work quoted individually, on the terms agreed in writing for that piece of work.
• Prints, products and digital images shown in our shop. These are listed and sold on Etsy and on Shutterstock. This website only displays them: when you buy, you complete the purchase on Etsy or Shutterstock, and that order, its payment, its delivery and its returns are governed by that platform’s terms, not by these.

Booking and confirmation

Sessions are booked over WhatsApp. Tell us the date, the time of day, the location and the package you want, and we will confirm whether we are free. An enquiry is not a booking and does not hold a date.

Your booking is confirmed when payment or a deposit has been received, and we have confirmed the date back to you. A payment made through Stripe confirms the booking as soon as it succeeds. Until then the date stays open to other clients.

Please be on time. If you arrive late, the session still ends at the agreed time, because beach light does not wait, and the sunset window in particular cannot be extended.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Thai baht (THB) and are the prices published on our booking page at the moment you book. Additional edited photographs beyond those included in your package can be bought at the per-photo price shown there, and a travel fee may apply for locations far from Krabi. We will always tell you the full price before you pay.

We can change our published prices at any time, but a confirmed booking is held at the price agreed when it was confirmed. A later price change never applies backwards to a booking we have already confirmed.

Card payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Where we agree to be paid in cash on the day, payment is due before the session starts.

Changing, cancelling and refunds

• 48 hours or more before the session. You can reschedule free of charge, or cancel and receive a full refund of everything you have paid.
• Less than 48 hours before the session. We will always try to move you to another date if we can, but the deposit is not refunded, because the slot was held for you and turned away from others.
• If you do not turn up and do not contact us, the session counts as taken and no refund is due.
• If we have to cancel for illness, an accident, an equipment failure or anything else on our side, you get the choice of a new date or a full refund, including the deposit.

Refunds are made back to the payment method you used, and normally reach you within ten working days.

Weather

Our sessions are outdoors, on beaches and headlands, and Krabi weather changes fast. Light rain and cloud are not automatically a reason to cancel, because some of the best photographs come out of them, so we decide together on the day, and we will tell you honestly what we think the conditions will give you.

If a session genuinely cannot go ahead because of weather or because a location is unsafe, we reschedule it at no cost to you. If we cannot find a date that works before you leave Krabi, you get a full refund, including the deposit.

Delivering your photographs

You receive the number of hand-edited photographs included in your package, delivered as high-resolution digital files through a private online gallery link that we send you by WhatsApp or email.

Delivery is normally within one to four days, as stated on the booking page, and in every case within 14 days of the session. Galleries stay available for at least 30 days, so download your files while the link is live; we keep the originals for up to twelve months and can usually re-send a lost link within that time.

Editing is our own style: colour, light and tone, brought to a natural finish. We do not deliver unedited or raw files, and requests for heavy retouching or a substantially different edit are extra work that we will quote for.

Copyright and how you may use the images

House of Noona retains the copyright in every photograph taken during a session. What you receive is a licence to use them, and that licence is broad.

What you may do

• Use the photographs for your own personal purposes, for as long as you like.
• Print them, in any size and any quantity, for yourself, your family and as gifts.
• Post them on your own social media, and share them with family and friends.

What needs our agreement first

• Commercial use, meaning advertising, promoting a business, a brand or a product, or reselling or licensing the images to anyone else. Ask us and we will agree a commercial licence.
• Editing that changes the character of the image, such as re-cropping, applying filters or altering the colour and tone of a delivered photograph, and then publishing the result.
• Removing or covering a credit or watermark where one was applied.

A credit to House of Noona when you post is welcome, not required.

Our own use of the photographs

We may show photographs from your session in our portfolio, on this website and on our social media, as examples of our work. If you would rather we did not, tell us in writing. A WhatsApp message or an email to hello@houseofnoona.com is enough. We will not use them, and we will take down anything already published. It costs nothing and it changes nothing else about your booking. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your photographs as personal information.

Your responsibilities

• Tell us the truth about your group size, the location and anything that affects the session, so we can plan and price it properly.
• If you book a session for other people, including children, make sure they know they will be photographed and are happy to be. Where children are photographed, the adult who booked confirms they may be.
• Follow local rules, permit requirements and safety instructions at the location. Some beaches, national parks and islands charge entry or permit fees; unless we have said otherwise, those are not included in the session price.
• You take part in an outdoor session at your own risk, and you look after your own belongings.

Limitation of liability

We take our work seriously and use professional equipment with backups. Even so, our total liability to you in connection with a session or an order is limited to the amount you paid us for it.

If, through equipment failure, loss of data or any other circumstance, we cannot deliver the photographs from a session, we will refund what you paid in full, and that refund is the whole of our liability. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as travel, accommodation or time off work. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, including weather, illness, transport disruption, and government or authority restrictions.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Thai law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on this page when your booking was confirmed, and the effective date at the top of the page tells you which that is.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Thailand, and the courts of Thailand have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first, because almost everything is settled with a conversation.
